This evening (September 8, 2010) at seven p.m., the Uintah County Library is hosting a community input meeting. This is your opportunity to share your hopes, desires, and dreams for the future of the library.

2. Working with the "desktop" and "windows"

5. Customizing Windows using the Control Panel
6. Installing and uninstalling software applications
7. Protecting your PC (updates and security fixes).

MICROSOFT WORD  Sept 14th:

1. Getting Started with Word 2007
2. Creating a new word document
3. Formatting (changing the look of) a document
4. Page layout (orientation)
5. Spell & grammar checking and how to print
6. Inserting images & photos
7. Inserting tables (rows/columns).

MICROSOFT EXCEL Sept 21st:

1. Creating a basic worksheet (page)
2. Performing calculations (add up/sum the total of a column of numbers, etc.)
3. Modifying a worksheet
4. Formatting (changing the look of) a worksheet
5. Printing
6. Managing large workbooks.

GETTING AN A+ ON YOUR UINTAH BASIN HISTORY PAPER Sept 28th:

1. What info is there for me to use?
2. Searching for old photos
3. What is the OTJ (Outlaw Trail Journal) and how can I use it?
4. The library publishes their own books?
5. A brief into/tour of the RHC (Regional History Center).

LEARNING EXPRESS LIBRARY: Online test prep ACT/SAT, GED, CDL, etc. Practice tests, self-study courses, worksheets, etc. to help you earn your best score yet. May 4.

MICROSOFT EXCEL: Taught by request. Learn the basics about Microsoft Excel to create, save, & print out spreadsheets of your information. May 11.

ONLINE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR: Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Jeep, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Pontiac, Kia, trucks, cars, SUV's from 1945 to 2009. Why buy a manual when you can just print out what you need w/ your lib card? May 18.

BASIN HISTORY IN A HURRY!: View grave headstones on your computer screen; look at newspapers, photos, & obituaries back to the 1890's. We're proud of the Regional History Center- come & find out why. May 25.
