It was a very sad day when I learned of Jodene's passing. Jodene was always so sweet and knew everybody by name. I always looked for her smiling face. She was a very kind lady who touched everyone who knew her. Jodene will be greatly missed. The Uintah County Library will never be the same.

I was very sad to learn of the passing of Jodene only today. She was a dedicated and dependable person. I remember fondly many kind words she shared and her love for the library. I still remember her turning me on to Fat Boys and other such treats when she helped in providing snacks at the staff meetings. I remember many days when I would be working in the library on holidays her coming in to empty the bins alternating with her colleague Tina Gardner. They were two of my most contentious workers. She was also a straight shooter and gave me good counsel in the two years I directed the library. The world will be a much sadder place without her in it. She was one employee that I remember well and will miss.

Dearest Jodene,
The most unexpected sadness came over me after learning of your passing. I was severely traumatized for many weeks after, not able to cope and crying many tears, knowing you would not return except for in memories. My kids learned so much from you, and the kindness you shared. You always had a hug and a kiss for each of us, before we left, each visit we made to the library. You mentored my oldest child, who you renamed "Indiana Jones", as well as myself and believed in us. You always asked how your Indie was doing, on days he was not with me. Coming to the library since then, has been extremely hard for me (I even accrued overdue fines because I could not make myself return the last books you checked out for me), but each time does get a little easier, because I realized you would have encouraged us to continue reading with all 3 kids, only you are not there to show us where our books would be, we were looking for. I have your picture saved on my computer so I still see you everyday, but needless to say, you are always in my heart. You will never be forgotten. I love you! Hugs, Taya
