Tech Tues in October

Tech Tuesday in October 5:30pm-7:00pm. This month's theme is, "Digital photos & scrapbooking." Questions? Christopher 789-0091x.11 or cgdavis@co.uintah.ut.us

TRANSFERRING PHOTOS FROM YOUR CAMERA TO YOUR COMPUTER (Oct. 5th.): Tonight's workshop is the first of four workshops in this month's, "Digital photos & scrapbooking" series. Bring your camera & learn how to transfer your photographs from your camera to your computer. Once your photographs have been saved on your computer, you can then burn them onto a CD/DVD, copy them to a flash drive, or share them online. This workshop leads into next week's workshop entitled "Editing photos in Picasa."

EDITING PHOTOS IN PICASA (Oct. 12th.): Tonight's workshop is the second of four workshops in this month's, "Digital photos & scrapbooking" series. During last week's workshop, you learned how to transfer you digital photos from you camera to your computer and how to burn them to a CD/DVD or save them to a flash drive. This week, you will learn how to use Google's free photo editing software application called Picasa for red-eye removal, blemish cover-up, picture resizing, & many other tricks.

Participants of this class will have their photos ready for next week's "Digital Scrapbooking" workshop.

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING (Oct. 19th.): Tonight's workshop is the third of four workshops in this month's, "Digital photos & scrapbooking" series. A traditional scrapbook could take weeks to make, require oddles of dollars in supplies, & take up valuable work & storage space. A digital scrapbook can be made in about ONE HOUR, costs only the price for printing & shipping, & takes up zero work & storage space.

During last week's workshop, you learned how to edit you photographs in Google's free photo editing software application "Picasa." This week, you'll learn to upload those same photographs from your computer, CD/DVD, or flash drive to Shutterfly.com where you can create digital scrapbooks for free. We will also discuss other methods beside Shutterfly.com to create digital scrapbooks.

After you participate in this workshop, you'll be all ready for next week's "Sharing your digital photos and scrapbooks online" workshop.

SHARING YOU DIGITAL PHOTOS & SCRAPBOOKS ONLINE (Oct. 26th.): Tonight's workshop is the fourth and final workshop in this month's, "Digital photos & scrapbooking" series. During last week's workshop, you learned how to make free digital scrapbooks on Shutterfly.com. This week, you will learn how to share your digital photos & scrapbooks on Facebook with just the click of a button. You will also learn how to email a copy of your new scrapbook to your family/friends and how to post it on a blog.

F.Y.I.: If you don't return all of the discs in a set/series, then that set/series is still cheked out on your card & you are responsible for returning or replacing anything missing. Please return any missing disc(s) so that others can enjoy them too.
