Ancestry Library Edition Update from Christopher



Good news: I just received this message from Ancestry Library Edition (ALE). ALE is one your library's online genealogy search databases:

Dear Ancestry Library Edition Subscriber:

Release of the new Ancestry Library Edition search interface,
with a clean and crisp design that improves the overall user
experience is scheduled for release on April 13, 2011.

Please share the news about the new Ancestry Library Edition
search interface with your colleagues, including these noteworthy
highlights:

-Improved look and feel for a more intuitive user experience
-Location filters allow searching across adjacent counties
-Map filters
-Name filters with Soundex
-Type ahead features
-Improved country and state pages

Browser Support

In the previous email you received from ProQuest, we advised that
the new Ancestry Library Edition requires Internet Explorer
version 7 or higher.  Firefox version 3.x will also be fully
supported.

Training and Technical Support

Watch for additional information about the new Ancestry Library
Edition search interface, updated training materials, and new
training webinars.

You can use Ancestry Library Edition for FREE on one of the library's Public Access Computers (PACs) or when you bring you laptop, netbook, iPod Touch, etc. into the library and use our FREE WiFi connection. Make sure that you bring your library card with you when you come to the library or else you will not be able to access ALE. Once you're the library, go to www.uintah.lib.ut.us/Reference.html and then click on the "Genealogy" link near the top of the page
