Tech Tues in January 2011

Tech Tuesday in January 5:30pm-7:00pm.
"Digital Photos & Scrapbooks" Series.

TRANSFER PHOTOS FROM CAMERA TO COMPUTER (Jan. 4th.): Tonight's workshop is the first of four workshops in this month's, "Digital Photos & Scrapbooks" series. Bring your camera & learn how to transfer digital photos from your camera to your computer. Once your photos are on your computer, you can then copy them to CDs/DVDs or flash drives. This workshop leads into next week's workshop entitled "Editing photos in Picasa."

EDITING PHOTOS IN PICASA (Jan. 11th.): During last week's workshop, you learned how to transfer digital photos from you camera to your computer and then copy them to Cds/DVDs or flash drives. This week, you will learn how to use FREE software called Picasa to remove red-eye effect, cover up blemishs, resize photos, & many other tricks.
Participants of this class will have their photos ready for next week's "Digital Scrapbooking" workshop.

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING (Jan. 18th.): A traditional scrapbook could take weeks to construct, require many expensive supplies, & take up valuable work & storage space in your house. A digital scrapbook can be made in about ONE HOUR, costs only the price for printing/shipping, takes up zero work & storage space, and reprints are as easy as clicking a button
During last week's workshop, you learned how to edit photos using "Picasa." This week, you'll learn how to upload those photos to Shutterfly.com where you can design creative digital scrapbooks. We will also discuss other methods beside Shutterfly.com to create digital scrapbooks.
After you participate in this workshop, you'll be all ready for next week's "Sharing your digital photos and scrapbooks online" workshop.

SHARING DIGITAL PHOTOS & SCRAPBOOKS ONLINE (Jan. 25th.): During last week's workshop, you learned how to make digital scrapbooks on Shutterfly.com. This week, you will learn how to share your digital photos & scrapbooks via Facebook, email &/or blogs.
